Eastern White Pine

(Pinus Strobus)

The eastern white pine is broadly pyramidal, with soft blue-green 3-inch needles and long slim cones and often grows at the rate of 1 to 2 feet per year when young, attaining 50 to 75 feet in 25 to 40 years.  It is useful for screens and windbreaks or when planted singly or in groups and can be kept small for years by proper pruning.
